Blah Weekend Update

So, the good news is I've actually officially finished a page on Sorrow!

The bad news is, the slow parts of stitching are going to be epic-ly (is that a word? I'm calling it a word) slow. However, still whittling away at it and enjoying the colors.

Sorrow is certainly not going to be as speedy to stitch as Enchanted Glimpse is for my sister, who is significantly farther along!

Glimpse is looking really good, and with the next 2 page finishes it'll actually have a focal point, whereas I'm still lost in the clouds on Sorrow.

Happy Stitching!

Rolling Right Along

So, it's been about 2 weeks since I started Sorrow. Progressing nicely for now, which it should since 3/4 of the pages so far are black!

I think I'm going to work in columns instead of completing the first row. The idea is to have a "complicated" part and then go back up to an "easy" page with mostly black to pick the speed up again.

Nice part is that filling in the black is easy and doesn't need the chart pages. The bad part is that it is A LOT of black. Page 1 is approx 5600 stitches and page 2 is 5390 or so. So even though it looks simple, it's still time consuming.

Loving the colors of the clouds so far though. I really like the copper/oranges and deep wine reds.

But hey, since I've got this much progress in 2 weeks of stitching, I'm not really complaining!
